Jeffery Dean Morgan talks Red Dawn
MTV Movies Blog posted a very beief interview with Jeffery Dean Morgan.
"I remember seeing it and loving it," he told MTV News. "It was one of those great popcorn action movies. A bunch of great young actors were in it at the time. This is the same deal. It's a reboot. It's really fast, smart, hard action. Great young cast of actors."
You can check out the interview here.

Thank you Jenn for letting us know about these pics of Chris Hemsworth and Isabel Lucas on IsabelLucasOnline.net Go here to check out the rest.
Edit: I just noticed the tattoo on Chris's arm. Is that real or part of the movie?
Building Explosion Close Up
Discofudge74 sent in a great set of photos from the Detroit building explosion the other day. There are some nice pictures of the building, the tank, and some of the aftermath.I alway love movies that use a lot of practical expolsions and effect. So far it looks like their going in that direction. You can check out the whole set by clicking the photo or right here.
Explosion with Tank Action!
I just found this video on YouTube. Just uploaded today. This is a secondary explosion of the same biuilding from the other day. The crew lit some spot fires and after the explosion we get to see our first real tank in action rolling down the street with some troops in support. I can't wait till we get some footage of a tank shooting something.
New Location Update
The Livingston Daily has a little story on their site with some location news. The crew has been burning dead brush and tree trunks to create a fire-bombed forest at the Mt. Brighton Ski Area on Bauer Road in Genoa Township. It looks like shooting will be happening here soon. Head over to their site for a couple of pictures.
KABOOM!
The Dretrot Free Press got some great footage of another explosion today.
This explosion took place around 1:30 today near Woodward Ave. and Mack in Detroit.

Detroit buisnesses work things out with Red Dawn
Yesterday the Detroit news posted this story about a couple Detroit retailers that were complaining that the Red Dawn crew did not notify them that they would by closing Washington Boulevard for filming. From what I undertood, the crew so far has been doing a very good job being accommodating to the Michigan buisnesses and home owners that have been affected by the production.
The Detroit News posted this update today. (this is from the bottom of the article)
"Happy ending for retailers
Business owners in the Himelhoch Building in downtown Detroit and the filmmakers of "Red Dawn" are no longer at odds.
The owners of Rosa's Fashions, B'anna Boutique, and Larry and Dianne Mongo, who rent a space that they intend to turn into a restaurant, say representatives of the film stopped by Wednesday and apologized for not informing them of shooting earlier in the week.
The Detroit News reported that the businesses were unaware filming on Washington Boulevard would block off sections of the street and disrupt their business.
"All we wanted was fairness and we got it," said Larry Mongo.
The filmmakers also have agreed to compensate the small retailers for any loss of business.
How's that for a Hollywood ending"
Glad to see things worked out. Now lets get back to blowing up stuff!
